The grounds of the Round Top Festival Institute, known as Festival Hill, have grown to encompass some 210 beautifully landscaped acres dotted with newly built structures and historic small-town Texas buildings that were purchased, moved there, impeccably restored, and repurposed.
The McAshan Herb Gardens at Festival Hill are part of the extensive gardens located on the campus of the Round Top Festival Institute and feature the Cloister Garden (herbs, bulbs, shrubs, and spring blooming annuals such as poppies, larkspur and petunias), and the Mediterranean Garden (lavenders, thymes, oreganos and the Walled Beds with sages, bay laurels, myrtles, and yerba mate), as well as the Shakespeare Garden, the Fiber and Dye Garden, the Madalene Hill Pharmacy Garden, and a large collection of potted tropical spice, fruit, and ornamental plants.
Lunch will be provided onsite in the Menke House.
